Shawna Smith
MANAGER
Shawna is the manager of our administrative team. Shawna joined Garden Terrace in 2015 after being owner/manager of a family orchard business for 25 years. Shawna brings management skills along with a deep level of respect and admiration for our senior population both inside and outside our walls. Shawna has built a rapport with each and every resident who resides in our facility. As a building manager, Shawna oversees the day-to-day operations of Garden Terrace Senior Living, ensuring that all systems from maintenance, food service and inner office management are operating smoothly and efficiently.

Dawn Cruz
Dawn is a valued staff member who brings warmth, nurturing, and decades of caregiving experience to her new role as administrative assistant. Her positive energy and strong organizational skills enhance the office environment. However, her true impact is felt with the residents, where her compassion, attentiveness, and ability to make each person feel valued significantly improve the quality of life in the community. Dawn's seamless transition demonstrates her adaptability and leadership, making her a rare find.

Tina DeYoung
SERVICES COORDINATOR
Tina’s position is funded by a grant from HUD and is meant to provide an important resource pool of resident services. She helps our residents to file important paperwork, apply for outside chore services, arrange transportation, and provides them a listening ear. She also maintains an emergency food and dry goods pantry for residents whose funds often run short at the end of a month.

Ken Neher
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Ken transitioned from Executive Director duties here at Garden Terrace to our Development Manager focusing largely on fundraising for our amazing non-profit senior facility. He is still the voice of Garden Terrace through the twice-monthly Senior Moments newsletter. His background includes 12 years as the local Burger King franchisee in the 80’s, 18 years as Director of Stewardship and Donor Development for the Church of the Brethren General Board in the 90’s and 00's, and as a former Garden Terrace board member.

Carlos Cervantes
MAINTENANCE
Carlos is a hard working young man whose job is to perform and supervise general preventative maintenance, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and corrective maintenance. He also facilitates apartment rehabilitation and turn over as well as overseeing the completion of work orders for resident repairs.

Arturo Martinez
MAINTENANCE
Arturo is our second hard-working young man who brings amazing carpentry skills to Garden Terrace and is busy rehabbing apartments alongside Carlos. He is also tasked to perform and supervise general preventative maintenance, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and corrective maintenance. He also facilitates apartment rehabilitation and turnover as well as overseeing the completion of work orders for resident repairs.

Tracy Hernandez
MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT/CLEANING SPECIALIST
Tracy fulfills two important functions in her work at Garden Terrace. First, she is the person that maintains the cleaning and sanitizing of our common areas – very important. Tracy has received several compliments from residents, care-givers and staff regarding the cleanliness of our facility! We are blessed to have Tracy on our staff.

Lydia Mattson
FOOD SERVICE MANAGER
We're thrilled to introduce Lydia, our Food Service Manager. Lydia brings over 18 years of experience cooking for seniors, and she's already made a huge difference here at our facility. Her enthusiasm and joy for her work are infectious, and she has a wonderful rapport with both her staff and our residents. Lydia takes great pride in ensuring that our residents enjoy their meals. In fact, she's already implemented a customizable "choice" menu, so that everyone can have a meal they'll truly love!

Rob Reverente
COOK ~ Rob has been a wonderful asset since joining the kitchen team and is working hard to learn all the recipes Miss Lydia throws at him!
